Of the balcony

Here it is. This photo “Of the balcony” was taken in an old area that is now part of Jerusalem and is called Ein Carem.

The picture was taken with a “HP PhotoSmart C850” camera and had the following stats:

  1. I disagree Bat-sheva. I would pan out just a tiny bit. We can only understand the balcony if we can understand it’s context to it’s environment. What exactly would the view me? How does the steel railing relate to the building’s architecture? Having the beautiful supports on the middle balcony cut off is unsettling to me. Distracting. The building, however, is absolutely lovely and worth being captured. the point of ‘off a balcony’ is contemplating what the subject would be thinking and seeing. Give us a taste of that. For example: a dog on one of the balconies, head on it’s paws, looking off into the distance. That gives us a feeling of wistfulness.
